 Fairfield County is located just 35 miles northeast of Manhattan and an affordable alternative to "the Big Apple". To further encourage meeting planners to consider New York's neighbor, several Fairfield County hotels are offering their meetings-based clients a complimentary daily coffee break with a minimum of 25 rooms booked. GREATER HARTFORD CONVENTION
& VISITORS BUREAU
 The Greater Hartford CVB and Central Regional Tourism District joined forces hosting familiarization coach bus tours for Hartford frontline hotel and restaurant workers. The guided tours introduced them to Hartford's attractions, hotels and restaurants and answered questions most frequently asked by visitors. Mayor Eddie Perez welcomed passengers as they boarded for tours including a 24-hour pharmacy, late night supermarkets, and local hospitals. Post Road Stages donated buses and the Crowne Plaza Hartford-Downtown prepared on-board snacks. The positive media coverage reinforced this successful proactive initiative.
